Zanzibar comprises of two main Islands Unguja and Pemba and about 53 small isles. Only five of these are inhabited. The rest are used infrequently for dago(Camp fishing) and during emergencies.
Several of the smaller isles are located in Minai Bay. The marine environmental is special.
To explore this beautiful and untouched area join a full day excursion using locally made traditional sailing dhows.
The Dhows are fitted with outboard engine, life jacket, sunshade, first aid kits and water proof bags.
We start our safari to Kwale Island from Bweleo village a distance of 20.8km (approx) from Zanzibar town at 9:30am
This area is whitish beach and clear bluish unpolluted water that is located in Minai bay, you can enjoy swimming and having funny along the beach.
You can snorkeling here to the heart satisfaction, our snorkeling guides will lead you under water to view the conserved corals and marine life, we have lifejacket for those who are not good in swimming.
This is highlight of Minai bay, it is a must for any visitor in this area. You can lay here under a special shade constructed to keep off the sun or sunbathe if you want on the white sand beach, our guide will offer fresh coconut (Madafu) and Zanzibar season fruits.
Blue lagoon is a natural swimming pool where by during low tide the water is getting out and during high tide the water is getting in, the area is surrounded by mangrove plantation.
Minai bay is commonly known as home Dolhpof Dolphins. You can watch and swim with dolphins. It is about 80% sure. Since there are naturally and not in the zoo
This is amazing ancient big tree 500 years old. It is believed that about 70 years ago bowed down by a storm and its branches continued growing.
Lunch is a traditional Zanzibar buffet and it includes grilled fish, chicken, lobster, calamari, rice, green beans sauce, octopus sauce, frying potatoes, local breads (chapati). You than enjoy a tropical fruits. Cold drinks are available throughout the day. After lunch you will be served a coffee and dessert.Zanzibar local dance famous as “DUMBAK” is performed to entertain our guest
While we are on the way back, you will enjoy the traditional sailing using the hands built wooden Dhows.
